The roaring 20’s are back with a vengeance, thanks to all the glitz and glamour of The Great Gatsby. This cinematic extravaganza beautifully illustrates the opulence and decadence of a time when hair was short and lashes long. One of the standout makeup trends of that era, was the “cupid’s bow” lip.

To create the perfect 20’s era lip, start with a concealer to mask the natural lip line. Use a lip pencil to line the upper lip, exaggerating the dip or “bow” in the middle. Using a lip brush, fill in lips with a deep, matte shade of brick red or brown. A swipe of rosy blush and long, doll-like lashes complete the look.
